Black Bean Dip

Appetizer #7

Black Bean Dip
1 150z can of black beans undrained
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 drops hot pepper sauce
3/4 cups minced onion
2 cloves garlic minced
4 ounces chopped green chilies, drained

Drain bean reserving 2 tablespoons of liquid. Combine  drained beans, reserved liquid, chili powder, salt, black pepper, cumin, and hot pepper sauce in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Combine onion and garlic in a sauce pan. Cover and cook on low heat until onion is translucent. Uncover and cook until lightly brown. Add chilies and cook three minutes more. Add to beans and mix well.
This dip can be served either hot or cold.
