Let the Good Times Roll

The Chicago auditions for NBC's The Voice are just around the corner, and I've decided to audition. I auditions for American Idol back in 2004 and have wanted to do something like that again for the longest time, but work, and then kids made it more difficult. I'm determined to get back in to the music world on some level and I think this is just the thing to motivate me. They have finally announced the location for the auditions. They will be at Navy Pier. I've filled out all the information online and now I have to wait for my scheduled date. I'll be taking lots of pictures and blogging all about it. I haven't chosen an audition song yet but I'm leaning toward Psycho Killer by Talking Heads. I have a rendition of it, that I haven't done in a few years, but I always liked it. I have to have at least 3 songs prepared. I'll be playing guitar and singing, this is really exciting because all the other shows make you sing a Capella. The auditions start at 7am, I have no idea what time I'll get there. It's going to be an early one, that's for sure. I'm starting to get excited though. It will be nice to get a day without the kiddies and be in my favorite city, just me and my guitar. Let the good times roll. ♪♫

I'm so excited! I can't wait to get the scoop. I've already told Zach and Zoe that you are trying out. They are my fellow Voice fans, so we're all excited and rooting for you!
